Learn which breaches close an account, what happens to open trades and whether a closed account can be reset.

An account closes when it reaches a hard risk limit. A closed account cannot be reopened or reset.

What happens next

  • Open trades close at market when a risk limit is reached.

  • If a payout was already processed and the full requested amount deducted before the account closed due to a daily loss or maximum loss breach, it will still be paid.

  • If the account closes due to a daily loss or maximum loss breach before processing and deduction, the pending payout will not be processed or paid. Payouts remain subject to the prohibited trading practices policy.

  • There are no resets. To continue trading after closure, you need a new account.
