Max loss and the floor lock

Understand your static maximum loss, the first-payout floor lock, and how much room remains after withdrawals.

Maximum loss is how far your account can fall from its starting balance before it closes. The floor is static until the first payout from your Evaluation funded account, when it moves to your starting balance permanently.

How the static floor works

  • Initial floor = starting balance − maximum loss.

  • Making a profit does not move the floor upward.

  • Limits are checked live, including losses on open trades.

After your first payout

After the first payout from your Evaluation funded account, the floor moves up to your starting balance and stays there. Accounts still in the evaluation phase are not eligible for payouts.

Leave room to keep trading

  • You may request all profit eligible for the current payout cycle, subject to payout requirements. There is no minimum amount you must retain as a buffer.

  • A request cannot leave your balance below the floor.

  • The payout screen shows your remaining room and warns you at zero.

  • Withdrawing all profit after the floor locks leaves $0 of room. The 0.03% fee on your next trade would close the account, so leave room for trading costs and losses.

  • For Evaluation funded accounts, profit retained after a payout becomes a trading buffer and cannot be withdrawn in future cycles. Future payouts are based on new profits earned above the next payout cycle’s starting balance.
